The Sector 4 archive remains closed following the 2019 reorganisation, and the group reports that readiness is being maintained to a high standard throughout.
The archive readiness programme has entered its eighth year. The Sector 4 archive holds the group's founding records, the Chair's correspondence, and all material predating 2014. It has not been accessible since the 2019 reorganisation, which consolidated it.
The programme maintains the archive in a state of readiness. The postholder does not enter the archive. A catalogue was begun in 1974 by an external firm which did not complete the work and did not invoice; that catalogue remains open and is the most recent one held.
The group has no current plans to reopen the archive and no current plans not to. Enquiries regarding specific holdings are answered where an answer exists.
The Chair continues to correspond promptly, in his own hand.
