The Lamp Concern confirms that units of the discontinued Model 14 continue to appear on the shop floor, and that the company has stopped attempting to prevent it.
The Lamp Concern wishes to address customer correspondence regarding Model 14, which was withdrawn from shipping in March and which continues to be available on the shop floor.
The company confirms the following. Model 14 is no longer manufactured. Model 14 is no longer dispatched. Units of Model 14 nonetheless return to the shop floor, are logged as returns, and are subsequently purchased. Model 14 remains the company's best-selling unit and its most-returned unit, in that order.
Customers who have purchased a Model 14 are not required to take any action. Customers who have returned a Model 14 are likewise not required to take any action, and are asked not to attempt a second return, as this has been shown to produce a third.
Model 14 is not eligible for return on the grounds that the return has already occurred.
